NewsTen Outstanding Young People Award Nomination for Jon Grima
European Chef Director, Jon Grima, has been nominated for the Ten Outstanding Young People Award run by JCI Malta.
We are incredibly proud of our European Chef Director, Jon, Grima who has been nominated, in relation to the Ten Outstanding Young People Awards programme, that JCI Malta are currently running.
Jon has been put up for an award under the category of Business, Economic and/or Entrepreneurial Accomplishment.
Throughout the pandemic, the Thomas Franks Malta team have provided over 30,000 free, fresh meals to three major hospitals, including the Mater Dei Hospital, St Thomas Hospital and Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, as well as providing meals for vulnerable families within local communities, migrants and homeless communities.
We asked Founder, Frank Bothwell, about what Jon and his team had done, ‘When I asked Jon to embrace the food aid charity concept of ‘Feeding Communities’, he said give me a day to assemble plans. Within 12 hours he was feeding homeless, migrants, families in food poverty due to Covid-19. Within weeks he was feeding ICU teams at both of Malta’s Hospitals. Jon’s leadership has so far delivered, free of charge, over 30,000 nutritious chilled meals across Malta. He and his team are an inspiration.’
