NewsPaddy Power Betfair and Thomas Franks Ireland Feeding Communities
Thomas Franks have been working closely with clients, suppliers, partners and staff to use Thomas Franks’ client facilities to feed the dedicated ICU and A&E staff who are working tirelessly to help those affected by COVID-19.
To help us to continue to feed healthcare staff, Paddy Power have generously donated £30,000, which will help towards providing 15,000 meals in the next 2-3 weeks.
This money will be used to help fund two initiatives. The first is to provide food vouchers for two key and major hospitals in Dublin, treating Covid-19 patients. These food vouchers will enable healthcare staff to order food online and have it delivered straight to their doors, without having to go shopping, after a long and tiring shift. We will be helping to support and feed over 200 members of healthcare staff within the two hospitals. This is just a small token of our appreciation for all their hard work during this time.
An added extra, we will also be dropping bulk snacks and goodies off to healthcare staff rooms.
Furthermore, in London, at Charing Cross Hospital, which is located near Paddy Power’s Head Office in Hammersmith, the ICU staff will receive food hampers, which they can take home to share with their families. In the hope that they will have one less thing to worry about.
The money that Paddy Power have pledged will also go to feed front line medical staff in Malta.
Not only is Paddy Power’s generous donation supporting health workers in both Dublin, London and Malta, it is also supporting our suppliers by funding the purchase of essential ingredients and keeping our staff busy.
The second part of this initiative is to use any money that remains, to roll out the same service in designated areas where Thomas Franks are helping out.
Thomas Franks Ireland would like to take this opportunity to thank Paddy Power for their financial support in this difficult time.
