Thomas Franks is proud to announce that we are the new catering team for Newcastle School for Boys. The school was formed in 2005 by founding schools Ascham House and Newlands School and has grown to be one of the leading independent schools in the North East.

Newcastle School for Boys provides education from the age of 3 to 18. As one of the newest schools in the independent sector they have adopted forward-thinking traditional values; this correlates with the Thomas Franks philosophies of innovation and community. The school offers a nurturing environment where boys can learn academically and grow personally through their education and we at Thomas Franks believe a healthy diet goes hand in hand with this.

To aid this healthy diet, we will be offering an improved morning break snack. This will make the offerings more diverse and keep the pupils fulfilled until their next meal. This will be in correlation with varied lunch options; making sure there is something for every student; which will include a variety of soups, freshly made bread, hot main meals and desserts. We will be streamlining meals across all dining areas so that siblings will be eating the same meals, making it easier on parents.

On top of this, Thomas Franks will be catering to special events with a customised approach and that is personalised to the needs of each event.

Our commitment to improve the local economy will continue. As always, we will be using local suppliers to get the freshest, tastiest ingredients while also helping maintain a sense of community, including a local butcher, baker and fruit and vegetable supplier.

We are also extremely excited to be welcoming new members, from the Newcastle School for Boys catering team, to our Thomas Franks Family. Each team member will have an individual plan, ensuring that we coach and train them to deliver the new service with ongoing training and support.

We are thrilled to be starting what promises to be a very happy partnership between Thomas Franks and Newcastle School for Boys.
