NewsKings School Gloucester begin Beyond Education – Being Human
The King’s School, Gloucester have undergone their second week of Beyond Education, Being Human.
Pupils in Lower Sixth are linking Beyond Education, Being Human with nutrition and cookery lessons in their future skills programme.
The programme is being delivered by Head Chef, Ian Foster, who on the first week showed pupils hazards in the kitchen, how to achieve a balanced diet and culinary knife skills.
The pupils will be cooking 100 meals per week for local vulnerable groups, which follows on from the Feeding Communities project which the school started, in conjunction with Thomas Franks and local butcher Ben Creese, during lockdown.
