This morning, our Founder, Frank Bothwell, spoke with Talk Radio Europe about our joint partnership with Adam Smith and all at The Real Junk Food Project.

With the support of The Thomas Franks Foundation, we have been collecting surplus food from The Real Junk Food Project’s Leeds-based HQ, before being created into deluxe meals at Feeding Communities’ kitchen hub at nearby Ackworth School, Yorkshire.

They are returned to The Real Junk Food Project, and distributed across the country via the organisation’s network. An amazing 22,000 meal boxes have been redistributed since the project started at the end of February, with the capacity available to increase that to 5,000 boxes per week, eventually anticipated to expand to two million meals per year through the Feeding Communities network of kitchens.
